Liverpool - Exploring his artistic side
Exploring the artistic side of Liverpool city
Liverpool it's a small city in the UK, I discovered this city looking for some cheap quick weekend trip.I want to share with you a list of the most artistic things I discovered during my visit to Liverpool.
1. The bombed out church of Liverpool
The name of this church is St Luke's Church, and it's a church without a roof, as it was lost during the war. I went there in the evening, the church was illuminated with a nice warm light that together with the nice music and the smell of wet earth creates a really special feeling when you enter for the first time in this curious church.
They organize diverse cultural activities, music, art... that makes this a very alternative church. The church it's open every day until 6pm, this is the address: Bombed out church
You can visit their web page, to see all the activities and story about this magic place: https://www.bombedoutchurch.com/
2. Enjoy the art of their small shops and the street music
Walking around the streets near the Liverpool Central, I discovered a really nice and special shop in one of their streets, a small stairway with walls full of artistic frames will lead you to a nice small shop, full of pieces of paints, photographies, sculptures, books, and music.
When I walked in this place, there were some people playing and singing in there, creating a perfect artistic ambient!

3. Visit "Another place" a piece of art on the beach
"Another place", by Antony Gormley it's a modern piece of art that represents the connection of the human with nature. It's placed in Crosby Beach, an amazing beach very close to Liverpool.
To arrive here you can take a train from the central station, and in about 20 minutes, you will be there.
When you arrive, you will have to walk a few minutes across the nice small town where the train leaves you.
You just have to follow the path that guides you to the wild and amazing beach where are the sculptures.

When you arrive, you will see a wonderful beach, very quiet, full of sculptures, looking at the horizon and you will really feel that connection with the nature that this piece of art it's representing.
